A Board made up of the City Administrator, Chief of Police and another person as may be appointed by the Mayor from time to time. Should any of these positions be vacant or the person unavailable, the Mayor may appoint a substitute as necessary. |
Architectural Review Committee | Chapter 410 |
An Architectural Review Board is hereby established consisting of six (6) members appointed by the Board of Aldermen as follows: Mayor, City Alderman, City Administrator, two (2) Structural Devlopers, and one (1) citizen. The Architectural Review Committee shall have the authority to review, conditionally approve and disapprove architectural plans, drawings and sketches. The structural developers and citizen members shall serve without compensation for a term of three (3) years each; except that the terms of the first (1st) appointment shall be for varying periods so that succeeding terms will be staggered. The citizen shall be a resident of the City of Camdenton. The structural developers shall not be required to be citizens of the City. The Mayor shall serve concurrently with his term of office. |
Arts Advisory Board | Resolution 17-18 |
The Camdenton Arts Advisory Board of five (5) members appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the majority of the City Board of Aldermen, who shall be chosen from the citizens at-large with reference to their fitness for such office. There shall be a one (1) Board of Alderman member, four (4) members who shall either have a business or be a resident of the City of Camdenton, and one (1) member who shall represent the Lake of the Ozarks Region. The Camdenton Arts Advisory Board will engage citizens to cultivate art in the community; promote close cooperation between the City and all private citizens, institutions, and agencies interested in or conducting activities related to the arts in the City, so that all arts resources within the community may be coordinated to maximize promotion and support of the arts; facilitate communication between arts organizations; work to assist in the City’s implementation of the goals, objectives and action steps included in the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and serve as an advisory board to the City Board of Aldermen in all arts-related matters including long range planning, allocations process, and comprehensive and strategic planning. |
Building & Fire Code Board of Appeals | Chapter 501 |
The Board shall consist of five (5) members who demonstrate knowledge and expertise in specialty areas (architecture, engineering, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, commercial or residential contractor, fire safety or prevention) governed by the building and fire codes of the City and are not employees of the jurisdiction. One member may be a resident of the City of Camdenton without experience in the specialty areas.The Building Official and Code and Fire Official shall serve as ex officio members of the Board. The Board shall have no authority to waive the requirements of the code. The Board shall have the power to review the decisions of the Building Official and/or the Code and Fire Official in the interpretation of the adopted building and fire codes or any related standard of the City of Camdenton. The Board shall have the power to modify or reverse the decision of the Building Official and/or the Code and Fire Official. |
Camdenton Memorial-Lake Regional Airport Board |

The Board shall consist of seven (7) members as follows: At least one (1) but no more than two (2) members of the Board of Aldermen with the rest of the Board being comprised of citizen members. Subject to the approval of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the Board shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for the conduct, administration and management of the Camdenton Memorial-Lake Regional Airport and shall further assist, advise and direct as deemed necessary the activities of any citizen groups or others in the promotion of the Camdenton Memorial-Lake Regional Airport. The Board shall make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen on all leases, grant applications and improvements at the airport. |
Camdenton Park & Recreation Board | Chapter 135 |
A Park and Recreation Board for the City of Camdenton shall be appointed by the Mayor of the City subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the Aldermen. The Park and Recreation Board shall consist of eleven (11) members as follows: At least one (1) but no more than two (2) members of the Board of Aldermen with the rest of the committee being comprised of citizen members. Subject to the approval of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the Board shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for the conduct, administration and management of the public recreational system and shall further assist, advise and direct as deemed necessary the activities of any citizens groups or others in the promotion of the public recreational system. |

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City shall consist of not more than fifteen (15) nor less than five (5) members, including the Mayor, a member of the Board of Aldermen selected by the Board, and not more than ten (10) nor less than three (3) citizens appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen |
Zoning Board of Adjustments | Chapter 400 |
The Board of Aldermen shall provide for the appointment of a Board of Adjustment, and in the regulations and restrictions adopted pursuant to the authority of Sections 89.010 to 89.140, RSMo., may provide that the Board of Adjustment may determine and vary their application in harmony with their general purpose and intent in accordance with general or specific rules therein contained. The Board of Adjustment shall consist of five (5) members, who shall be residents of the City. The Board shall have the following powers:To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirements, decision or determination made by the Zoning Inspector, in the enforcement of this Chapter. To hear and decide all matters referred to it or upon which it is required to pass under this Chapter. In passing upon appeals, where there are practical difficulties or unnecessary hardship in the way of carrying out the strict letter of this Chapter, to vary or modify the application of any of the regulations or provisions of this Chapter relating to the use, construction or alteration of buildings or structures or the use of land so that the spirit of the Chapter shall be observed, public safety and welfare secured and substantial justice done. |
