Building Permit Fees:
SECTION 500.070: PERMIT FEES
A fee for each permit and inspection shall be paid in accordance with the following schedule. Building permit fees will be based on the estimated valuation cost of the total valuation cost of the total value of work, including materials and labor. The valuation of construction will be compared to the current "Building Valuation Data" and if the valuation is under estimated on the application then the estimated valuation cost shall be calculated using the most current "Building Valuation Data" schedule as published biannually by the International Code Council.
Any project requiring a building permit that is started without a legal permit will be required to pay 150% of the standard building permit fee.
Permit fees for Residential One-Family Dwellings, Two-Family Dwellings and Townhouses governed by the current adopted International Residential Code:
Estimated cost of construction for new structures or additions shall be based upon the building construction valuation of a minimum of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) per square foot for habitable areas and Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per square foot for garages, no exceptions.

Plan Review Fee Deposit -$TBD - Equal to One-Half (1/2) of the Building Permit Fee
When the total construction valuation of a proposed project exceeds Two-Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) and a plan is required to be submitted, then a plan reveiw fee deposit shall be paid in advance at the time of application. The deposit shall constitute a credit toward the total permit fee(s). The remainder of the fee(s) is due when the approved permit is picked up by the applicant.
Plan review fees for all commercial and residential structures governed by the currently adopted International Building Code, National Electric Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical and Fuel Gas Code, International Fire Code and International Existing Building Code:

The deposit shall constitute a credit toward the total permit fee(s). The remainder of the fee(s) are due when the approved permit is picked up by the applicant.

All costs and expense incident to the installation and connection of the building sewer shall be borne by the owner. The owner shall indemnify the City from any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation of the building sewer. A separate and independent building sewer connection shall be provided for every building, except as approved by the Director of Public Works.

It shall be unlawful for any person other than a City of Camdenton employee to tap onto any City water line unless said person shall be authorized in writing by the Board of Aldermen.
