| Orion Center Orion Center, located in Camdenton on South Highway 5, has a mission to develop and operate a community educational center that will make a difference in the lives of children. The center emphasizes hands-on, interactive learning methods essential to the learning experience in Human Culture, Philosophy and Religion, Art, and Science and Technology. Camden County Museum Located 2.5 miles east of the city, the Camden County Museum traces the history of the area through creative displays that include antique furnishings, tools, banking equipment, and area memorabilia. |

County grew 35% to 37,051 in the last census and was the 5th highest growing
county in Missouri.Camden County encompasses 641 square miles in central Missouri. The county work force is approximately 20,000, and unemployment is 3%. The average transit time to work in the county is 23 minutes, and the county tax rate is one of the lowest in the state. Regional personal income in Camden County grew 82% to $732,519 in 1998. The largest industries are: (1) Trade; (2) Service; (3) Government; (4) Manufacturing; and, (5) Construction.
