Open for Day & Night Operation

The airport was built by funds raised by donations from the people of Camdenton and the surrounding area, plus state and federal grants. The total amount spent for construction was $35,000.

The airport was dedicated to the veterans and fallen comrades of both Great Wars, so is appropriately named, Camdenton Memorial Airport. The runways were initially sod, but were later paved with blacktop to 3,400 ft. long and 60 ft. wide. 

This airport is one of the nicest in the area and can accommodate small jets and general aviation aircraft.

It is located three miles south of Camdenton on State Highway 5.

The airport has 100LL and Jet A fuel, DTN weather, and can provide a courtesy or rental car.

Airport Expansion

Ground breaking ceremonies were held at Camdenton Memorial Airport on September 22nd, 2001. Bill Overton, member of the City Council and Airport Board, addressed the attendees about the proposed construction. The initial phase will involve earth work. In February the airport will be closed to tear out the existing runway and put down the new surface.
